We Got the Grant!

Kimberly Phillips Pea and Sister Cities, along with Dr. LaWana Richmond and Kalif Price, landed one of the City of San Diego Arts and Culture Commission's inaugural Impact Grants for their project, The New Avenue: Digital Archive, with a focus on the arts and heritage of Logan Heights. Everyone was super excited and eager to collaborate on content capturing some of the rich history of this neighborhood. When asked how she felt about the grant as well as the project, Dr. LaWana Richmond said, "I am extremely grateful and honored to have been included in this process and look forward to helping preserve and surface some of this historic area's rich heritage."
